Community Engagement Coordinator
Deb brings both lived experience and deep professional expertise to her work at The IF Project. After her release from WCCW in January 2019, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Law & Justice with a minor in Political Science from Central Washington University—a reflection of her unwavering commitment to justice, education, and personal transformation.
Prior to joining The IF Project, Deb served as the Program Operations Manager at FEPPS (Freedom Education Project Puget Sound), where she launched the first Community Connections event inside the prison—creating space for incarcerated individuals to build relationships and explore opportunities to support their reintegration. She remains actively involved in reentry and higher education advocacy, serving on the board of the Formerly Incarcerated College Graduate Network (FICGN), which uplifts educational pathways for people impacted by incarceration.
Deb is passionate about reshaping what successful reentry looks like. She believes community, access, and connection are essential to creating futures filled with possibility. Outside of her professional work, Deb loves hiking, running 5Ks, reading, traveling, and spending meaningful time with her two boys.
